IHM’s Service Saturdays group supports local outreach organizations while offering opportunities for you to positively impact our community. One Saturday a month a service project is arranged at a charity in need. We plan as often as possible to arrange tasks suitable for all ages, families, etc. This is a great chance to learn about local charities, expose your family to service work in a safe environment, and to use your talents to help improve our city. This is also an excellent way for students to fulfill their middle school or high school service hour requirements.

December Service Saturday – December 9th at The Sharing Place Food Pantry. The Sharing Place is a material assistance program which provides food for families residing in an eleven zip code service area in Marion and Hancock Counties, Indiana. We will help prepare prepackaged food bags, help set up & clean up the pantry and assist families with food pickup.

January Service Saturday – January 13, 2024 at Outreach Inc, an awesome organization that provides services and hope for teens and young adults in our community that are experiencing homelessness. The tasks we’ll be working on include making breakfast burritos for their freezer, organizing the donation center, deep cleaning the program center and anything else that would be helpful. This is a family friendly volunteer activity, kids 7-15 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
