Each of us is a creation of God and a gift to all. As members of the Body of Christ, we recognize that we fall short of giving and receiving God’s love. Our Church offers the beautiful Sacrament of Reconciliation to heal us when we fail.
First Reconciliation preparation takes place in the fall of a child’s second grade year. We recognize that parents are the primary educators of the faith. Therefore, parents will receive materials to prepare their child at home. This learning is reinforced in class, whether through the religion class at Immaculate Heart of Mary School or through the Sunday Family Faith program.
First Reconciliation registration happens when registering for First Communion. Please click here for the First Communion registration form
(Please Note: If you are enrolling in Sunday Family Faith please do not fill out this form. The Sunday Family Faith Registration Form has this registration already embedded in it.)
Note: First Communion preparation and celebration generally takes place in the second semester of second grade.
On an on-going basis, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered at the parish every Saturday evening at 4:30 pm, or by private appointment with the pastor. In addition, during Advent and Lent, Reconciliation Services are offered in the North Deanery at a location near to, and sometimes at Immaculate Heart of Mary.
