Hello IHM Families! 

The countdown is on for Oktoberfest 2024 on Saturday, October 5th!  The day kicks off with the Fun Run at 9am with a guest appearance by Mr. B!  The party begins at 4:00pm and the weather is looking excellent!    

There is still time for family sponsorship which includes food & drink tickets and unlimited beer! The deadline is Friday (10/4) at 12pm.  You can donate at the link below:

       On the Main Stage we will have performances by:
Indianapolis Liederkranz German Band  4pm – 6pm
Stephen Everett  6pm – 8pm
Green Morning Light  8pm – 11pm

Around 8pm, the turf will transform from an interactive play zone full of inflatables into an “after dark” glow kid party wrapping up a little after 10pm.  The turf will have bleacher seating and an open dance floor to showcase everyone’s best dance moves.  The party features one of the best local DJ’s in Indy!   DJ Beast (Frank Dickerson)

There will also be performances by Brian Noble on his accordion around the festival!

We look forward to celebrating with you all.  Below are some helpful tidbits and FAQs in advance of this Saturday:

  • Sponsors (Family and Corporate) – All sponsorship cupswill be picked up at the festival’s entrance.  As you enter (free of charge), those over 21 will present their ID for a wristband.  All family and corporate sponsors will pick up their items entitling them to unlimited adult beverages non-alcoholic beverages throughout the night.
  • Cashless environment– We are trying to run a totally cashless event this year.  Please bring your credit cards to purchase additional food/beverage/game tickets and Oktoberfest gear.
  • Cakewalk– Cakewalk is on for this year.  Please help us have a huge inventory of cakes.   Please drop off cakes at the corner of 57th and Washington between 2-4pm on Saturday afternoon.  Cakewalk will start shortly after the gates open at 4:00pm.
  • Food– We have tons and tons of food, please come hungry!  We have 1 meal option being provided by Sahm’s Hospitality Group that will be sure to fill the hungriest bellies. The meal includes: German-style bratwursts, raclette spaetzle, roasted fall veggies, sauerkraut and onions, and a brioche roll.  Children’s options include hot dogs, pizza, and   We will also have individual brats served and a soft pretzel station.  Food service will end at 9:00pm. 
  • Games – German-themed games and contests will be in effect throughout the event. These include: toddler bounce houses, grade school bounce houses, face painting, IHM booth, pumpkin painting, Oktoberfest coloring, and pretzel necklaces. Kids’ activities will run from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. 

The money raised this year will be used for the replacement of chairs in the Activity Center.
