At Immaculate Heart of Mary children are offered the opportunity to seek Confirmation in the Catholic Church in tenth grade. This is a one year preparation process which begins in August and concludes in March. The family must be registered in the parish, the child seeking Confirmation must have received Baptism, Reconciliation and Eucharist, and should contact either the Parish Office or the Youth Director of the parish to enroll. Contact Kyle Murphy.

The Confirmation Program at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church starts in September of each year. The classes are offered for high school sophomores and older. Classes include: Service, Being Catholic, Prayer, Baptism/Eucharist/Confirmation, the Traditions and Symbols of our Faith, the Rite of Confirmation, and an Evening Prayer and Rehearsal.

The parent/candidate Class is in September.  This class starts the process with the teen and family.   In October, there is a 2 hour class for candidates and sponsors. They learn to share faith stories, along with being trained to be a lector and EM at the youth masses.

Classes are on the second Sunday evening of the month, from 6:30 – 8:30. Sponsors and candidates meet in the Gathering Space for introduction to the theme of the evening, discussion and announcements.  We then head to Church for Prayer.  At 7:00, there is a speaker on the evenings topic or an activity. Teens and sponsors then share questions on the topic. Candidates go to small group at 7:40 to learn more about the theme for the evening through education and discussion.
