MOMS GRACE WITHIN is a ten-week program focusing on the gift of motherhood and the love and faith shared among families. The program encourages and affirms moms through discussions led by a team of facilitators. It allows women to gather together to form a group of mutual spiritual support. MOMS introduces women to opportunities for personal and spiritual growth within a faith sharing group. It increases communication skills and the use of prayer rituals in the home. Each session provides a group experience of praying, learning, listening, and ministering to each other.
MOMS FROM A MOTHER’S HEART is a ten-week program focused on further enriching the personal and spiritual growth of mothers. Each session provides a group experience of praying, learning, listening, and ministering to each other. Please note, MOMS Grace Within is not a pre-requisite.
To register for the Spring 2018 session click here to register.
Sessions will run on Wednesdays from February 21 – April 18th, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary. Spaces are limited and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
MOMS AND MINDFULNESS
There seems to be a sudden burst in literature and coursework in mindfulness. What is mindfulness? What is the history of mindfulness? What might I personally gain from mindfulness? Is it Catholic? Stacy Hennessy, formerly the Director of Religious Education at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, and a practitioner of mindfulness, will lead a six week class / discussion on parenting and mindfulness as a spiritual practice. The course will teach techniques in remaining present, dealing with stress, organizing the “monkey mind,” and intimacy with God.
*The Fall 2017 Moms and Mindfulness Session is now closed.

grant me the grace to appreciate the dignity
which you have conferred on me.
Let me realize that not even the angels
have been blessed with such a privilege—
to share in your creative miracle
and bring new saints to heaven.
Make me a good mother to all my children
after the example of Mary,
the Mother of your Son.
Through the intercession of Jesus and Mary,
I ask your continued blessings on my family.
Let us all be dedicated to your service on earth
and attain the eternal happiness
of your kingdom in heaven.
