After a brief interruption the Service Saturdays ministry at IHM is once again active. Service Saturdays supports local outreach organizations while offering parishioners & school families opportunities to positively impact their community. One Saturday a month a service project is arranged at a charity in need. We plan as often as possible to arrange tasks suitable for all ages, families, etc. This is a great chance to learn about local charities, expose your family to service work in a safe environment, and to use your talents to help improve our city.

If interested in learning more about this program or joining our email list please contact Matt Tuschong at

Our first service opportunity is at St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry on November 7th. St. Vincent’s is in desperate need of volunteers due to the current climate. This opportunity is suitable for ages 12 and over, and is a great chance for middle and high school students to gain service hours. Typical tasks include supporting the grocery line and sorting donated goods. We can use (20) volunteers starting at 7:45 a.m. and ending around 12:30 p.m. We have 7:45 – 10:15, 10:15 – 12:30, and 7:45 -12:30 shifts available. Please see the attached link to sign up or reach out through the contact information listed above.
