Faith Firsts: Holocaust Talk

Please join us at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, for a presentation about the World War II Holocaust. The presentation will be framed by using the 7Habits concept of Principles, which is used in our IHM School as the foundation for the Leader in Me process of developing Personal Leadership skills within each student.

Esther and Ed Davidson, volunteer members of the Holocaust Speakers Bureau / local Jewish Community Relations Council will be featured at the meeting, along with IHM Parishioner Bill Campbell who introduced the 7Habits and the Leader in Me process in our school. Esther, a Holocaust survivor, will share her memories as a secret Jewish hidden child in Poland during the war. Ed, a retired US Army officer, will share his father’s experiences serving as a translator during the Nuremberg Trials, and he will also provide an overview of the Nazi concentration camp system and a candid PowerPoint tour of the Dachau Concentration Camp.

Sponsored by the Family Life and Faith Formation commission, IHM is proud to offer Faith Firsts, a series of faith related events that will happen on every first day of the month. Please check the bulletin and your e-blasts for individual invitations, since these events will happen on different days of the week and may be at different times. Expect a variety of topics and presentations that will help us as a community to grow together and grow in faith!
