Immaculate Heart of Mary celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima.

On May 13, 1917, near Fatima, Portugal, three shepherd children looked up and saw a “lady dressed in white, more brilliant than the sun.” In her hands she carried a rosary.  Speaking to the children, Our Lady asked them to return to the same spot near Fatima on the 13th of each of the next five months.  She also gave them a message for all people, saying “Pray the rosary on the 13th of each month to obtain peace.”

We will gather to pray the rosary at the Fatima Shrine on Washington Boulevard and 57th Street Sunday August 13, Wednesday September 13, and Friday October 13 all at 6:00 pm.  Please join with other parishioners to reflect and pray as Our Lady has called us to do.  Families are welcome.  Rosaries and a guide to pray rosary will be available at the Fatima shrine to all who attend.
