The primary educator of the child is the parent. The more familiar the parent is with the faith, and the more the family engages in the practices and traditions of the faith, the more the child thrives and feels confident in the promises faith offers. For adults not raising children the best educator is the soul. Follow your spirit and feed its curiosity.

Adults in this ministry teach children in gradesK thru 3 each Sunday during the 9:30 Mass. Emphasis is on experiencing the Sunday readings and Gospel in words they can understand. Children are sent forth from the church to a meeting place and return after the homily is completed.

The Vacation Bible School ministry was established over 20 years ago to conduct a one week Bible school program for children 31/2 years of age through 4th grade. It meets from 9am-12pm daily for one week in the summer.

The mission of the Faith Formation ministry is to support each parishioner at any point in his or her spiritual journey as well as to offer a channel through which each parishioner can know God.

Christ Renews His Parish or "Christ Renews" is a 1 and 1/2 day, Jesus centered, spiritual renewal where a team of men or women from our parish share their faith stories, attend Mass together, enjoy solitude, and celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Rite of Christian Intiation of Adults or RCIA includes instruction, prayer, ritual, and celebration which helps interested persons ask questions, and be integrated into the IHM faith community.

This ministry offers religious education to children not attending our school. Sessions for parents and children meet Sunday mornings in the school library and then disperse to classrooms.

The Sunday Pre-School ministry was established to introduce children to the goodness of God, to the Bible, and to Godly play.

Stacy Hennessy is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. She completed her Bachelors Degree at the University of Notre Dame in Political Science and International Studies and holds a Masters Degree in Theology from Weston Theological Seminary.
