The Immaculate Heart of Mary parish strives to be a vibrant Catholic community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ as our guide. We invite those who seek to strengthen their spirituality and develop their relationships with God through our dynamic liturgy, life long learning, and sharing faith within and outside our community.

The IHM website supports the Parish mission through the use of Web technology, enhancing the IHM Parish value to its many audiences. These audiences include parishioners, students, parents, teachers, administrators, office staff, volunteers, prospective parishioners, prospective students and their families, neighbors, visitors and the general public.

In 1946, the Archdiocese of Indianapolis appointed Fr. Edwin Sahm as founding pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The church was officially dedicated on December 8, 1952, the feast of the Immaculate Conception.

IHM Parish and School is located in the Meridian-Kessler Neighborhood of Indianapolis. Adjoining neighborhoods are Forest Park to the East, Broad Ripple to the North and Bulter-Tarkington to the West.
